Storage

  • BUFFER – undemanding storage information system

An easy-to-use information system providing a basic solution for directed location of stock. It is designed for use mainly in the HUB terminals, in warehouses with a limited range of goods, but first and foremost for storage outsourcing. The system is particularly suitable where traditional stock records on paper or spreadsheets fail to suffice.

Besides the directed stock administration, the system also enables drawing up of the reports on the key storage performance for the purpose of subsequent invoicing.

The system is rather undemanding in terms of its operation, installation and training of operators. Unless there are any special customer modifications, it can be launched within one day.

  • SIMUL8 - dynamic simulation of logistical processes

When introducing complex solutions for storage, distribution, production, or even administrative processes, it is sometimes necessary to identify potential bottlenecks in the flow of material, movement of transportation units, persons or flow of documents.

A suitable tool for eliminating these bottlenecks has proven to be a dynamic simulation of the proposed solution as it allows to carry out variant testing of the limit values, simulate various combinations of unfavourable influences at random and monitor the impact on the overall efficiency of the designed system by means of a computer model.

The results of the simulation model may be utilised for optimisation of the proposed solution, thus minimising the investment risks and costs of potential modifications to the selected solution to be made during routine operation.

SIMUL8 enables to create a wide range of dynamic models, visualisation of flows of the modelled transportation units (persons, boxes, palettes, vehicles, etc.) between the objects of the designed system (storage areas, production equipment, platforms, etc.) and tabular and graphic evaluation of the individual test variants.

  • STANDORT – distribution network modelling

In terms of the operation analysis, the distribution network means a compact system of junctions (usually places of consumption) and edges between these junctions (road communications). The number and location of warehouses within the distribution network is optimal when the sum total of the transportation and storage costs within the distribution system is at minimum.

For the purpose of precise modelling of distribution networks, STANDORT uses the detailed digital map data of the Czech Republic and other European countries.

The algorithm of the STANDORT tool enables proposing the optimum number and location of warehouses (terminals, depots) within the distribution network based on the submitted consumption of material (goods), current or assumed, up to the level of individual customers.

Once a model of the distribution network has been created, it may be utilised flexibly to create and compare variants of the number and location of warehouses and allocation of customers to particular warehouses (the so-called attraction depot circuits).
